Workshops

Once again this year the workshops have been condensed into one day, Saturday 7th June between 10am and 2pm, on the Sports Field at Raglan Junior School, Chepstow Road, and will be a real family day of fun.

There will still be the opportunity for anyone under the age of eighteen to ‘have a go’ on a whole range of musical instruments, including drums, electric guitars, saxophone, woodwind, keyboards, banjo, percussion etc. Your child can have any amount of 10 minute introductory lessons with a seasoned professional, plus take part in a variety of other activities and entertainment.

One of the largest community-based Samba drum bands in the UK, Samba Galez will be performing at approx 11.45am, and will also be running a drumming workshop, so come and join in the fun.

The school site will also feature – Cheer Leaders, live bands, a musical quiz, face painting, and other musical themed activities. Refreshments will be available, and Festival merchandise will be on sale
